Naruto was a young shinobi with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He achieved his dream to become
the greatest ninja in the village and his face sits atop the Hokage monument. But this is not his
story... A new generation of ninja are ready to take the stage, led by Naruto's own son,
Boruto!

So, I watched 74 episodes so far, I was realizing more and more how this series kind of irritates me for certain reasons. Firstly, Boruto really annoys me and not just because of what happened in the beginning when he didn't respect or understood his dad, Naruto. I understood the reasons for that. I think it's how they were developing his character. He's cocky and unruly (I know that's a bit harsh to say, but that's how I feel right now). The reason for this is how he doesn't think of the consequences of his actions like time of the chunin exams when he used the ninja tools fully aware that he was cheating and also getting into situations that could have got him killed, but that plot armor protecting him. The recent one when he tries to find Mitsuki fully aware that the Hokage (Naruto) issued an order that anyone who leaves the village is going to classified as a rogue ninja. When Naruto was chasing Sasuke he at least had permission to do so as a mission to bring him back. Boruto doesn't get punished at all from these decisions even though he should have been. And this brings me into my other reason, Nostalgia. Naruto chases Sasuke and Boruto chases Mitsuki. Like Father, like Son. Because its essentially a sequel of NARUTO (_might as well say remake at this point_), I can't help but compare it to the previous season. I keep wanting to see more the old characters again and see them getting some action. While it's a peaceful time, I don't think Boruto and the rest of the new generation are going to be stronger than the old ones because the harsh training they used to have. You have to had noticed that the chunin exams were a joke compared to the previous ones. Genins risk their lives in those exams and this one didn't have an epic tournament arc at all since the only one who seemed to be close to the strength from back then was Gaara's son. They also tried to do similar scenes that happened in Naruto at the end too. And the major upset was how they tried to fit Boruto in the fight with Momoshiki, who wasn't even as strong as Kaguya. Sasuke probably noticed Boruto's special ability to teleport the rasengan, but that wasn't the real reason he would bring him to the fight. Think about it, why would you bring a 'genin' to fight a powerful foe like that and they also purposely lessen Naruto's power at the time so they could find a way to give Boruto some recognition. It's his show now, not this dad's. Not trying to say it was a bad idea, but if Sasuke had said he had planned on Boruto's ability to defeat the enemy then it was going to be a great strategy and reason to bring him, but he didn't. There's a bit more, but those are the two main reasons. It's hard to not compare Boruto to Naruto. It feels like I'm trying to find the same sensation of Naruto from Boruto which lessens my enjoyment even though I try not to. So, I decided to stop watching for the time being or until he becomes a teen when the story furthers on and things changed.
A lot of people like to complain that it's boring and "doesn't feel like Naruto." What they fail to realize is that the movie, the manga, and the anime all in itself continue to assure you "this isn't Naruto, this is Bortuo, something different." To make the comparison would be a bit unfair, even if it is in the same universe, as when Naruuto had become Hokage he entered the world into an era of peace which is where this anime starts out at. Apparently, according to the populace, everything their favorite main character worked for isn't allowed to last a few arcs before watching it all crumble down and make his efforts over a solid, what, 20 years, all pointless? But here's where my pros come in: -The characters are actually well designed and look like a proper mix of genetics from their parents.* -The gags are honestly pretty hilarious, I always find myself laughing at least once per episode. -It's cute. Downright adorable. Character interactions remind of what it was like to be a real kid again. -Fight scenes might be far between, but the ones we get are all very well fleshed out and don't disappoint! Cons: -Remember that star next to the first pro? Shikadai is the problem. Just a straight clone of his dad through and through. While Metal Lee might also seem to fit here, at least that is what you have come to expect from his line of taijutsu only based characters. From Gai to Rock to Metal, the bowl cut green suit wearing lineage shall not die! -The plot. What, you expected me to defend the plot because I defended the fact that it's not Naruto? No, no. I watch them both for very different reasons. Now that said, keep in mind this con IS subject to change at any given moment. While the anime itself might actually have strong plot going, as it approaches the manga bits, I can expect this to change, sadly. As this is the review for the anime, I will avoid putting direct manga spoilers in this note, however, as hype as the main plot point is for the manga, the way it's going about it is not. But as I said, that is subject to change, and I actually expect it to as well based off of the first bit from Episode 1 where we see future Boruto already. So take this con with a grain of salt. -The inconsistencies. This mostly goes with the older characters (especially Naruto and Sasuke themselves) where we expect them to be full blown badasses based off the end of Shippuuden, but once you hit the Naruto Gaiden arc it's like watching a professional Smash player get their sh*t kicked in by a lvl 1 bot. But then they find another opponent which is much stronger and beat that one with lots more relative ease? I'm not 100% certain what they are doing with this, but it just seems like they have a power scale inconsistency for almost all characters, really. It's only MOST noticeable in the older ones though because we already have a base for them. Overall, while I mostly watch Boruto so far simply because it makes me happy and reminds me of better times, the story itself isn't a bother and is at the very least worth checking out. Enjoy! EDIT: Fixed a couple typos, added a minor detail about the strength of an opponents in the final con. (Edit date: 01/29/2019)
Nowadays, It's hard to jump online without seeing hate on Boruto. It's become a trend to do so. It gets you likes, clicks, views, and whatnot. But that's just It. A lot of "gotcha" noise. You can't talk about about Boruto without talking about Naruto. I first got into It in 2005 and It's been with me ever since, It's my all time favorite series. I have a lot of love for it - even during the endless fillers I had to sit through on a weekly basis. Kishimoto perfectly created a world divided by hatred and prejudice mixed in with a little bit of hope depicted by both it's my main characters - Naruto and Sasuke - and the journey that unified the Shinobi World at a great cost - human casualties, wars, sacrifices etc. In doing so, Naruto has achieved his ultimate dream of becoming Hokage. He's created a world of peace and stability - solidifying himself as the greatest leader. This is where Boruto's story begins. In an era of peace. In this review, I'll dissect the series in it's strongest points and weaknesses. I'll also be addressing the usual "complaints" people have with it and debunking them. __First complaint __ people have with Boruto that I usually see is that It's too friendly and childish. I don't think that's the case all that much, but the fact that the world is at peace may give off that impression. Kishimoto said this himself prior to the anime's release that he wants Boruto to start off in this kind of manner to showcase the inevitable change in growth in the main characters as they get lost in the journey of life and the battles to come later on. We're beginning to see a shift in tone as well as the characters have gone through a various number of arcs and growth since the early Academy Days. In my opinion, I think It's genius to begin the series in such a manner to avoid doing a disservice to the sacrifices we saw in the previous series - Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden - and the Hokage himself. We're 155 episodes in. That's a lot on the surface - but if you compare it to It's predecessor of 720 episodes - It ain't all that much for a series in the Naruto franchise. Keep this in mind for the points to come. __Second complaint__ people have with Boruto that's factually __incorrect__ is that a lot of folks think the anime is 95% filler. It simply ain't. It's easy to have this misconception because of the original Naruto series but Boruto is an entirely different case. I'll explain: Naruto was a weekly manga that used __fillers__ most of the times to avoid getting into the story for different reasons. Boruto is a monthly manga that can only do so much in terms of plot due to it's format and needs the anime to expand on the manga's story by creating __Anime Original __material supervised by the manga author himself - Ukyo Kodachi. I'll give you an example: Sometimes the anime would expand on a manga detail or lack of - even characters - by creating an arc around them that tie into the manga events. We've seen this numerous times in several anime original arcs that tie into major manga plot points and characters to make the world more grand and interesting. You'd have to be a manga reader to notice the little subtle details that connect the entire story together. So nothing in Boruto is filler. Even the crappy episodes. We've had several of them. Which is natural since this is a long running series. This is confirmed by Kishimoto himself and the Boruto production team (manga and anime). So don't take the word of some troll online. We gotta talk about the pacing. It's simply not for everyone. Boruto can be really slow sometimes. It can be really frustrating too. It takes it's time with different arcs and has quite a few transitional episodes in between them. This is a legitimate critique that I have with the anime - but this isn't anything new when you compare to the likes of Naruto, Bleach, One Piece etc. On a binge, It can be a quick breeze though. __Third complaint__ people have with Boruto is that It should've been seasonal. This is a preference. I don't think it's a problem for people to want it seasonal - but I don't think It's fair to undermine what we currently have. I've mentioned this earlier, considering the manga is monthly, there's really so much It could do. So It focuses on the main plot and very little outside of it. This is why I really enjoy Boruto being a long running series. Where the manga fails to do in developing a proper side cast, the anime excels at. Just think of how Shippuden neglected a lot of our beloved Konoha 11. Sadly, the Boruto manga has the same issue. This is where the anime really does a wonderful job building a wide array of supporting characters - even in the major plot lines. So think about the last few points in this manner. You can either enjoy your favorite seasonal anime - like My Hero and wait a year or more in between seasons - Or Enjoy seeing your favorite characters from Boruto on a weekly basis in between different anime canon arcs that sometimes develop the world, the characters, Introduce future manga concepts, that connect to the manga plot-line and manga arcs - supervised by the creator himself. World Building is also something the manga and the previous Naruto series struggled to do. This is something the Boruto anime excels at - So far we're able to see Konoha's Growth, The Hidden Mist, The Hidden Stone, The Sand Village, Ryuchi Cave, Otsutsuki's etc. __Fourth Major Complaint __people have is one I find silly. Technology. Just think of yourself as the reader of this review - how are you reading it? On your laptop, phone, iPad, or the many other options you have? Look around you and look how much the world has changed in our modern times compared to just 10 to 15 years ago. This is the natural growth that we've seen in the Naruto world. It's technologically advanced. It's a modern civilization. With that comes dangers, just like in our own lifetimes. You have Scientific Tools that can boost characters and villains to become greater than normal but it's about how the user utilizes it. This is a great way of creating more conflict in the series. __Final complaint __people have with the anime is the main character himself - Boruto Uzumaki. He doesn't have a goal. He's a brat. He's overpowered at a young age etc etc 1) He does have a goal. He wants to be the supporting shadow like his idol Sasuke to help the village. Unlike his Dad and Grandfather. 2) Boruto may seem like a brat cause of the movie events or the early episodes but that was the point of his character growth very early on. He doesn't know what we know about his Dad. All he see's is his Dad being away all the time and he misses him. This is a character arc that he goes through early on for the sake of the story. It also develops Naruto as a character. 3) He's the son of Naruto and the Hyuga, student of Sasuke, you bet he's gonna be strong early on. This can be applied to all the new gen. All of them are kids of the greatest era that won the Shinobi War. Boruto is a wonderfully flawed character with a burden of a future looming over him that'll shatter the Shinobi era. These are little subliminal details that have already been addressed all throughout the anime. The Boruto anime is a reverse story of Naruto. It's a journey of having everything early on to nothingness at the end. Little by little, you'll miss the lighter tone and the academy days, and you'll miss the supporting cast being the focus. It is really quite unique compared to most Shonen people tend to gravitate to. It is by no means perfect. It has its flaws, a lot of them, but what anime doesn't? I have issues with the villains in the series as they tend to be underwhelming but not all are bad. Besides, there's a specific Organization from the manga that's behind the scenes so far in the anime that are edging closer and closer to their introduction. Villains worthy of the Naruto franchise. It has decent to great animation to legendary animation when needed, the soundtrack is beautiful, the new gen characters are great as are the old generation who play a great vital role, the action is there when it needs to be, the story is there, the drama and tension is there when it needs to be, It truly is a next generation series that exists in the Naruto franchise. When deciding on whether you should watch Boruto or not, just give it a shot and keep an open mind. Ignore the misconceptions I've pointed out. Boruto isn't for everyone, but It is by no means bad. It's incredibly popular in Japan and the Rest of the World outside the West, the manga is one of the best Jump has to offer, the anime is surely heading in that trajectory albeit in its own route. It has a lot to offer for new fans and the old fans.. __as long as you keep an open mind and ignore the clickbait noise surrounding It. __ Boruto is a great heavily misunderstood series that focuses more on the endgame, than the now and the journey of getting there. I hope I was able to contribute just a little to those who look to delve into it. If anyone has a question about Boruto, please feel free to message me. I'm happy to help ^^
-The world surrounding the charaters is really dumb. It doesn't feel like the naruto universe, but a cheap knock off instead. The Naruto Universe had a uniqueness to it that you couldnt replicate. with justu's and ninja like tech; It was a cross between a edo japan vibes mixed in with morderness to give name to the show. When team 7 went on an adventure, it felt like it was. it felt like they were taking a big risk. In boruto, all of that is stripped. Konaha is something else now. they changed it into this new world that replicates the old. A world that lacks grandur and is heavy with saturation. Nobody feels like a shinobi, nobody acts like a ninja, and its simply because its a world where relisticly it wouldnt exsist. -Boruto does nothing but complain. Naruto was a charater you could sympathize with, but unlike Naruto, Boruto comes off as having heavy daddy issues. someone who is sTucK iN thE shAwdoW of HiS fAtheR. Seriously give me a break. Naruto was outcasted, treated like shit by adults, and never really had friends. He didnt know why, but that forced him to have ambition. and he aimed high. Boruto just doesnt care for that, he rather just wants to be different from his dad or sometimes just attention. its something that maybe a child could relate too with daddy issues, but surely not me. -The characters are really bad. In terms of writing, they just take common tropes that worked in Naruto and flipped them. or did something slightly different. like making Rock lee's son lacking confidence instead of Rock Lee's over confidence. It can just be as slight of a change like age. -The characters look dumb. It feels like Mikio Ikemoto ingesited some Danky bong trees or is completely off the perc when illistrating this Charaters. Character design is flawed. Sasuke looks like a 45 emo depressed dad that still listens to My Chemical Romance, Sarada (Sasuke's daughter) WEARS GLASSES. LIKE BRO, WHAT? GLASSES? does she not know she has a Sharingan? Chocho deadass looks like a Digimon. like why. -A lot of the anime is fan service and i dont mean that in the ecchi way. I mean that in the lame nostagila way where they show something or do something that relates to the later series. Like bro... we get it, naruto will never be the same -No sane person would have a kid with Sasuke -Sasuke got his Sharingan from seeing his clan murdered a billion times. Sarada got her Sharingan having daddy issues. -Kabuto is alive LMAOOO -This hokage character is dumb. I forget his name but its boruto's dad? real unimportant charater. (for real though why do they make naruto sucha punk ass bitch?) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Naruto got published in 1999. Now we are almost in 2022. That's quite a long run aye? I grew up with Naruto, all his friends, its environment, everything that was part of Naruto universe. The first manga and anime I fell in love with. A total of 520 episodes, a total of 72 volumes and 10 amazing movies. That's a lot of bounding time with the characters... I'm so happy I met him and his friends because he made me realize and learn a lot of things, like a lot of people here. Seeing a new random author killing this feeling because he only likes the next generation is also killing me. I don't even recognize them! Where was the Naruto we were used to? The yellow haired dude that trick everyone with clones and clones and clones (he is the one getting tricked by his son's clone now). Now he's fighting without them (Delta fight) or when he's using them they are useless and used extremely poorly (Jigen fight). I just want to add something about Delta's fight. People said Naruto was holding back to not destroy the village and keep her alive. Now listen, he's the Hokage he knows how to KO someone and they were fighting a big park so nothing/no one near them. Those arguments are useless. But let's say it was the case. I don't think using a single clone is bad or considered as "not holding back" to protect his own son and daughter. Well he didn't (maybe he forgot how to?) and where this had leaded us? To a kid saving the Hokage because of this (and that he can't dodge a single lazer in air that takes 5s to charge?). In Naruto, Shippuden, the Movies we were used to see the Hokage protecting the village, the people, the childens, everything. Now the outsiders kids are protecting the Hokage? I just- ... We used to get more screentime of Naruto with clones than Naruto alone back in the days and now we only get " I'm out of chakra, Sasuke~ ". It's hard to believe they fought what they fought back in the days without having those problems they got in this show now. I really tried to find a reason to that, why is it happening like this? Is it real? I want to understand why the characters I used to know are so much different now... I've watched tons of videos, read forums etc... I heard this is due because of their age. Since Naruto they aged. Alright but, it's not like they are 40 years old + 40 y/o is still young... Not that old. Then I remembered who almost killed Orochimaru in a 3v1 against him and two Hokages. Yes, it was Hiruzen Sarutobi who is 69 years old... Then I heard a lot about "yes but the villains in Boruto are gods that's why they can't deal with them". Let's talk about Issiki then. I don't know why a lot of people think he is a god but he is not. Everything is said in Borutowiki. Even if he was one, who defeated him back in the days? Kaguya. One more question, who defeated Kaguya in Naruto Shippuden? Right! People will try to defend that with "yes but it was a surprise attack so it doesn't count". Are you a ninja or are you not one? If hiding a clone in the ground to ambush the enemy is fair play then how come an attack from behind isn't? any strategy is part of the combat so saying it's not fair isn't an argument. If it was then please give Sasuke's eye back because it was an attack from behind "so it's not fair". Wait, Danzo did the same attack to Sasuke on the bridge but how come Sasuke knew he coming whilst in Boruto he didn't even move? I know what you are going to say. "You really think Isshiki is the same speed as Danzo?!". Alright listen, if you're off-guard it means you are off-guard. An attack coming at 10 km/h or one coming at 100km/h will lead to the same result since you CAN'T see it. Like I said, I don't recognize the characters at all. The only one I recognize is Kakashi, he has mastered a new purple chidoki, can do over 10 doton walls in a single spell and is in my opinion (with a lot more chakra now without sharingan and so stronger techniques) stronger than before. Sad part is, we don't see him a lot anymore so yeah, we can keep him strong it won't affect the story if we don't give him screentime :D I argued with a lot of Boruto fans (yes only Boruto fans because actual Naruto fans know what the old gen is capable of) and in the end I was always the one to finish the conversation, without them to answer me. I wonder why. Funny how no one ever argued about that when Boruto was inexistant but since they released it, you now got the fan base spreaded in half. Coincidence? Well it's not hard to understand if you look at the top score that Naruto got (8,22/10) and then Boruto (5,90/10) it's obvious, numbers never lie. So the only answer I found from a lot of people was: "Sasuke and Naruto will be as strong as the plot need them to be" I don't think I could have found better. Just one more thing I want to say. Boruto is a really great anime if you don't know who Naruto is. But if you do and like me, grew up with him then it's a total disrepect towards the old generation. I still can't believe the new random author decided to get rid of Naruto's Kage ceremony because of a teddy. Wait, 23 years of dream and wait annihilated because of a tedd- wait, I feel a pain in my heart, I just- It makes me extremely sad... I have watched hundreds and hundreds of anime, read tons of manga and never, never ever an author made me feel the way i'm feeling right now. If only he didn't include the old gen or at least respected, then I would have given Boruto a good score for sure.
(Review edited and restructured) Introduction: I started reading Naruto (not watching, the fillers are pain in the butt) since 8 years old, and although nowadays I dislike a lot of its writing (especially during the last half if shippuden), I considered the series as an irreplaceable core of my anime experience, in a good way. Then when the series finally ended in 2014, I thought the story has reached a satisfiable conclusion and did not need a sequel. Then Boruto was announced and the anime was made in 2017 (which was very fast, considering Naruto Shippuden had just ended the year before and Boruto manga had just started). I was not exposed and very critical to storywriting, and baited by nostalgia, I decided to follow Boruto weekly to see how it goes. And............it was painfully lackluster. After 51 episodes of mediocrity (or at worst, disrespect) from the series, I dropped the series. I know people said Boruto gets better later on, but if it takes the eternity just to get decent, then the series is not getting my attention. What do I like: - Some of character arcs are decent ~!Nue arc, Mitsuki arc, and Shin arc!~ are definitely the more interesting storylines, but they are not utilised to the fullest potential - Some of the choreographies are decent ~!Boruto's genin first mission and Shin arc!~ are some of those. This aspect is however overshadowed by the inconsistency of the animation throughout the series - The main Naruto casts showcasing their abilities ~!Naruto and Sasuke particularly. This aspect is however overshadowed by them constantly getting nerfed when the plot needs them to be nerfed.!~ What do I dislike: - The fundamental concept ~!Imagine 2 ninjas who are basically demigods are at their prime (supposedly at least), you would think there should not be any conflict in the shinobi world. Any enemies detected will be dealt in an instant. Personally, I could not find a good way to write a conflict from this scenario, as it would cause multiple issues such as bad powerscaling (as shown by the series on multiple occasions).!~ - The plots reek of cliches and are uninspiring Often they come up as unoriginal. ~!Boruto's genin first mission, Kakashi's bell test!~ are some of the worst offenders when it comes to unoriginality. When they try to be original, the end products are usually not good. - The dialogues are not good Many of the dialogues are cringy and too convenient. ~!Examples including Boruto's with mini-antagonists like Sumire and Kagura.!~ - The animations are inconsistent Some of them are okay, but most of them are seemingly lazy. More importantly, the animations are less brutal (example less gore and blood) and obviously catered towards kids or younger audiences, in a ninja setting I do not find this to be a good thing (don't tell me "they are at peace times, so less brutality is common", because ninja conflicts still exist in the series) - The powerscaling is bad ~!Naruto casts are disrespected and nerfed (Naruto, Sasuke, Konohamaru, Shino, Anko). The majority of the Boruto casts have access to advanced techniques without noticeable struggle or training, many of the techniques are deemed impossible or too dangerous to execute (example Boruto with 3 chakra natures, Metal Lee with 3 gates unconsciously, Boruto using Hiramekarei, Sarada using superstrength and sharingan)!~ - The characters are uninteresting ~!Most of the Boruto casts are too identical with their parents, and when they are given some distinctive traits, they are often too immature or ridiculous (examples including Metal Lee's nervousness). The ones that are decent are forgotten (Sumire) or reduced to one-dimension (Mitsuki).!~ - The fillers are not good at all If they are fight scenes, the fillers often try to fit in any abilities to the characters, even though they sound absurd or nonsensical. ~!Example, when some of the characters (e.g. Udon, Wasabi, etc.) perform absurd techniques that do not match with the ninja setting (I mean snout manipulation, seriously......)!~. If they are "slice-of-life", they are boring. - The business model Boruto manga was not even close to ending, and Studio Pierrot had the guts to launch an Boruto anime weekly, following the same model as its predecessors: main arcs followed by fillers or recaps/flashbacks to pad time. No wonder the animations are inconsistent, the filler plots are bad, and there are multiple recaps. Conclusion: - Boruto is the only anime I have willingly dropped - I think Boruto is a series that should not have existed (or if it deserves to exist, at least the concept and execution should be more interesting and reasonable) - I am sorry if the authors and the animators have worked hard for this series

Many people blindly hate Boruto, but what if I told you Boruto is actually the second best anime of
all time.
# __Plot: 10/10__
One of the biggest complaints of the Boruto anime is that it has too much filler, but that is not the
case. The Boruto anime is actually 27.34% manga canon, 63.28% anime canon, and only 9.38% filler as of
June 19, 2022. Even with manga canon, anime canon, and filler, each and every episode of Boruto is
almost peak fiction. The decision to switch the main character from Naruto to Boruto is one of the
best decisions they could have made to write an interesting and unique plot. Boruto is everything his
dad was, but even better. Boruto is just a kid that had everything he could have wanted, but that all
changes when Momoshiki Otsutsuki bestows the karma upon him. Boruto’s plot mainly focuses on delving
deeper into who and what the Otsutsuki clan are. Our biggest lead to this mystery is the Kara
organization, a secret evil group led by a mysterious Otsutsuki member. Unlike the rest of the shinobi
world, most of the members of Kara are actually cyborgs, not shinobi. Cyborgs is just what the Boruto
universe needed to feel fresh and unique unlike its predecessor. Also, the idea of having an evil
group is so unique. The only other anime or manga I can think of that does this is Demon Slayer, which
is good company to be in. Overall, Boruto’s plot is not one to forget and probably one of the best
anime plots of all time.

# __Characters: 10/10__
Unlike his dad, Boruto isn't a child of prophecy or a reincarnation of "Ninja Jesus." Boruto is a
prodigy, but he still worked hard to obtain that power. Boruto starts out bratty because his father
doesn't have much time for him, but quickly becomes understanding of his father's line of work. This
growth was character development on par with Demon Slayer almost. The Boruto anime also introduces
Sarada who is one of the last surviving members of the Uchiha clan. She do has daddy issues because
she hasn't ever met her father, but she eventually meets him which makes her a better person
obviously. Another example of great character development. There's also Mitsuki. With that said,
Boruto, Sarada, and MItsuki form the new team 7 led by Konohamaru. Konohamaru is pretty much the new
gen Kakashi except he loses all his battle rather than wins them. Characters that show weakness are
much better than characters who are strong from the start, thus making Konohamaru a very interesting
character. The rest of the new gen shinobi are mostly just carbon copies of their parents, but they
also feel very unique and refreshing. The most unique of them being Denki and Wasabi. Denki is a new
character with no ties to any of the previous Naruto charcters. Rather than utilizing ninjutsu,
genjutsu, or taijutsu, Denki built himself a mech suit that can do all of those for him. Wasabi on the
other hand comes from the Izuno clan, an average clan, and bears the burden of being the first chunin
from her clan. She proves to be worthy by learning her clans special jutsu that now only she can use.
The characters in Boruto are such a breath of fresh air and are hard for anyone to hate.

The staff at Studio Pierrot and the various other studios that Boruto has been outsourced to have
really have outdone themselves with the Boruto anime. Although Boruto is a weekly anime it delivers
the best of the best animation each and every week it airs on television. The fight choreography,
fluid movements, and vivid facial expression make the Boruto anime seem much more full of life
compared to most anime. The Boruto anime has ~~some of~~ the best animation of all time.

every piece in this OST evokes the perfect emotions that should be felt when watching each and every
scene in the anime.

Boruto would have the best openings and endings in all of anime if Demon Slayer didn't exist, but
second place isn't that bad. Boruto has many opening and endings since it is a weekly anime, but each
and everyone of the openings and endings do not disappoint.

Second best anime of all time, but with that said the gap between Demon Slayer and Boruto is still
quite wide. I look forward to more Boruto content and hope it elevates itself to Demon Slayer status
one day.

__DROPPED__ __!__ __DONT WASTE TIME IF YOU LIKE NARUTO SHIPPUDEN.__ Thing is... I really wanted to like it. But the way they approached the characters, the depth of the story and how lackluster the antagonists are is something that has been bothering me from start to around episode 200. Just for comparison reasons: For Sasuke to get his first tomoe, he had to see his entire family and clan slaughtered, on the other hand Sarada had her because of... Love? When she snuck away from her friends? The absence of suspense in Boruto is one of its most frustrating aspects. Naruto had a really ominous tone, as though any character could die at any time. Naruto featured antagonists like Orochimaru, Kabuto, and the Akatsuki in the start of the series. These adversaries were all mysterious and strong, and they always appeared to test the strength of the major protagonists. Unlike the predecessor, Boruto has yet to introduce a single significant antagonist who is exclusive to the program. During the Naruto Shippuden War storyline, Sasuke and Naruto gained incredible powerups. With the exception of alien gods, this put them far ahead of everyone else. They were and are so strong that either one could rule the Naruto universe by themselves. When there is no justification for it, even if they are holding back, they go from keeping up with teleporting characters in Shippuden to battling a no-name with two Sharingans. These character shouldn't be moving at their speed and should have been defeated in under a second. Treating Naruto and Sasuke in what seems to be an odd manner doesn't bode well for Boruto after years of hard work and effort that made them an inspiration to countless people in the real world. Although Boruto is clearly its own series, it largely relies on elements like nostalgia and old characters to engage viewers. Boruto wouldn't be as popular as it is now without Naruto and Sasuke, and nerfing characters only to improve the looks of the next generation would ultimately have a serious affect on the plot. Since they still have some influence, Naruto and Sasuke are still somewhat relevant for the time being. However, given the direction the story has taken, it wouldn't be surprising if the authors find further methods to further downplay them. When that is something a good writer should be able to express while being consistent with the original series, perhaps they'll be completely murdered off to highlight how amazing the next generation of ninja is. As a die-hard fan of Naruto, that simply makes me so irritated. There is almost no suspense in that show, the premise is boring, and the characters barely undergo any development. Don't even get me started on the animations where the characters look like the animation team did not show up to work that day.
