#~~~A masterpiece ~~~
I started Overlord with a bit of pessimism as I wasn't convinced with the synopsis offered on any anime website. But, a friend of mine finally convinced me to take a closer look. To be honest, I started the series with no expectations. The first episode wasn't too interesting, but I was ready to give it a chance as it was highly acclaimed both on MyAnimeList as well as here. The second episode was when I noticed the awesome Intro music by OxT . I planned to stay with the series as it started to gain a foothold. The third episode finally delivered as it was packed to the brim with breath taking action sequences. After a very slow start during which I was having second thoughts, I was finally hooked to the anime in the third episode. The best character in the entire series would certainly be Narbereal Gamma who single-handedly defeats two skeletal dragons with utmost ease. She was the shining light of the battle in the Dark Warrior Arc and would definitely be my MVP in the entire season. I can't wait to see more of her next season. I also found Nphirea Balear to be intriguing and expect him to play a major role in the upcoming season. i felt that the character development of all the Guardians wasn't up to the mark as some of them didn't get much screen time (maybe that will change in the second season). Some episodes felt a bit too hollow with nothing interesting except for the ending. Despite all these drawbacks, the story still acts as a strong point and I would gladly watch Season 2 which is going to be a lot better!

I’m an avid fan MMORPGS. I grew up playing them, non stop in the confines of my own room so this Overlord was a joy and a breeze to watch. I finished this anime in a couple days. The story centers on Momonga, an unidentified Japanese man lingering on the servers of the soon dead Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game or (DMMORPG), Yggdrasil. The game is known for its unusual freedom given to the players making it the most popular game in Japan. Our Main MC, Momonga is reminiscing about the great times he has had playing the game for some unknown reason is being shut down. It is never explained why the game was coming to an end but I’ll leave it to later seasons to explain why this was the case. The catch is when the servers finally shut down Momonga finds himself stuck in the world that was once Yggdrasil. He has no idea why this occurred yet he is thrust into a chaotic world as the ruler of a despotic kingdom surrounded by inhuman servants that serve as Guardians to the Tomb of Nazarick. His goal is to reach potential allies who might also be stuck in this fearsome world and to do that he plans to spread his name across the lands. A badass premise, eh? I was reluctant to get into this anime since most anime about being stuck in a game are kinda shit. (SAO, I’m talking to you.) I was pleasantly surprised to find that this anime was unique and interesting. No harems, no overpowered characters without justification, and no bullshit! The MC is indeed overpowered but not without reason. It is shown that he was level 100, most likely a cap level for the game, therefore, it is perfectly reasonable to suggest he is god tier in terms of abilities. It was nice to see that Momonga is a spell caster when they could have easily shot for a warrior even though is very capable of playing the role. Momonga now taking on the role of Ains Ooal Gown is my favorite part of the entire series. He stands out because he is what I always wanted in an MC who is thrusted in a video game world. Confident, intelligent, a complete badass but a dork at heart because at the end of all this he is still a nerd playing a video game rather than being social so basically me. Time and time again he’s shown his prowess in a way that isn’t overbearing. My gripes come with the other characters. There are only a select few of Guardians that I care for and it isn’t Shalltear. Cocytus and Albedo are ones that stood out for me. The condescension towards the humans was a constant annoyance. Albedo and Nabe were constant edgelords that would not shut up about humans being shite. We get it, Ains Sama is the epitome of greatness. Let us move on. I found the Guardians loyalty not to be endearing but sheep flocking to a wolf. And that’s why I found it laughable that the Guardians look down on humans so much. But perhaps that flaw is what “humanizes” them in the end. If that’s what they were going for, so be it. It was just too annoying for me. I appreciate the inhuman servants being different from one another difference in personalities and abilities. It gave life to the cast even though I had some minor problems. Overall they were alright. Oh, thanks for the loli elves. I very much appreciate it. I don’t have much to say about the world building since it’s pretty simple so far. Where the worldbuilding shines is when it’s compared to the likeness of what it once was, an MMORPG. The animation was great because of how it was executed the CGI never really affected me too much. However, the final fight scene when it came to magic buffs felt a bit dragged even though it was necessary. . 6/10. I thoroughly enjoyed this. My love for MMOs really helped which is why I give this a 6, not a 7.

I might be slightly biased while writing this, since I really enjoy the Isekei genre. But let me tell you: Overlord is my favourite Isekei, right after No Game No Life and Saga of Tanya the Evil, and I really think it's something many can enjoy, even if they're not too big on the Isekei genre. Here's why. Story: 10/10 Like I said before, even if you're not too big on the Isekei genre, the story of this anime is amazing. Just watching the plot thicken was enough to envelope anyone is the amazing story of this series, and it's just outstanding to see all the characters perspectives throughout all the seasons. Not to mention it really connects to you as a viewer. With the action of each move of each plot element, the story becomes better and better until you think it can't get any better. The story shows the viewers the excitement that comes out of an action anime, while also showing them some controversy through showing the viewers the view points of the antagonists, something most anime's never even bother doing. I never once felt bored while watching Overlord, and a lot of that is because of the amazing story and it's plot progression. Characters: 11/10 I rated the characters 11/10. Yeah that's right, the characters are just that good. Each servant, each antagonist, and even the main anti-hero himself, Ainz, are nothing short of magnificent. Seeing each perspective of each character, will usually bore the average anime viewer, but Overlord makes sure not to do that. Each character, from their good sides to their... rather bad sides, is very entertaining to say in the least. I don't want to spoil too much, but with each addition to a new character the viewer was unaware existed, Overlord just keeps getting more hype for the next episode. The cast of Overlord is a big one, but somehow, it does an amazing job at handling it. While watching the anime, one can't simply choose a favourite character or even a best girl, because they all are best girl. Even the males. Artwork 9/10 When one is introduced into the land of Yggdrasil, they are introduced with very cool scenery from the small towns, to The Great Tomb of Nazarick. Overlord takes the whole "fantasy" genre, and turns it into a whole new world. Though most of the art style is fine, there are a few things it could work on, which you will understand when you watch the show Overall: 10/10 When watching this anime, one can not simply help but enjoy it to its fullest. Even if you're not into Isekei, it differs from other Isekei in ways that can only be understood when watched. From he amazing cast, to the interesting story, this anime is sure to envelope each and every on of its viewers.

Inceputul a fost ok..prezentarea personajelor introducerea in anime si chestii.

_"'Ainz Ooal Gown does not know defeat...Feel the power of the man you all respect and call your master!" - Momonga-sama_ This anime had always caught my eye and managed to get mentioned quite a lot when I asked for recommendations. Unfortunately, the synopsis of it didn’t really impress me and I disregarded it as another isekai with a darker and more mature twist. After watching this anime for myself though, I can say that it really delivered when it came to entertainment! It’s definitely one for those of you who are looking for more mature action scenes that holds nothing back in terms of graphics. I was pleasantly surprised of the brutality of the action scenes, which made the world Momonga-sama lived in THAT much more real. It was really easy to see the mental change in Momonga-samas thinking as he accepted his role as Overlord to protect those he cared about and expand his power. Now, let’s get into why Overlord is such a binge-worthy anime. Art and Animation: 8.7/10 - I really enjoyed the art style of Overlord, it had given me a classic MMORPG feel that made the world much more realistic as a video game. Both the environment and color palette had set the appropriate mood and setting for events taking place. When it came down to character designs, I loved the classic and yet unique models (ESPECIALLY my girl Albedo). If it’s one thing that I could appreciate about this anime, it’s the effort of incorporating A LOT of CGI into it. It was by no means awful, but I felt like it was overused especially in the first half of the season. So if you’re not a fan of CGI in anime, you’ll just have to put up with it for a bit in the beginning. Otherwise, enjoy some juicy action scenes that’ll have your mouth wide open. Storyline and Character Progression: 8.1/10 - Nothing too crazy when it came down to a real storyline full of twists and turns. The storyline itself was a simple and light objective that was progressed upon throughout the anime, especially for someone with the position of Overlord......Expand and Conquer. I really appreciate all of the entertaining events happening while Momonga-sama began expanding his power. You got to see how he interacted with others, what type of ruler he was, and why he did things the way he did. You got to see both his compassionate side as a ruler AND his cunning side as an Overlord ready to protect his servants. The character interactions in between were filled with both humor and touching moments, which gave this anime some breathing room from its intense action. Overall I was entertained all the way throughout the season, which definitely makes this one an easy and enjoyable anime to binge. Soundtrack and Audio: 8.9/10 - While I do understand that some may not like the style of music this anime features, I personally loved it to death because of my background in alternative music. The OP was fantastic and fully represented the dark and energetic vibe of Overlord, while the ED expressed the raw and terrifying obsessions of Albedo (which I’m guilty of being a sucker for). During the anime though, there wasn’t much of a music soundtrack to take note of. Rather, it was filled with amazing sound effects that added a lot of anticipation and energy to the action scenes. The voice acting was what impressed me the most if I’m being honest. Momonga-samas voice had fit him well, and it was always so satisfying to hear the power and authority his voice held when speaking. Other voice actors had embraced their characters roles almost seamlessly, especially Clementine, which was both a joy and terror to watch. Overall, if you’re in the mood for something with a bit more mature fantasy action, this ones for you. Don’t sleep on it like I did! The pacing of this anime was consistent all the way through, and I really enjoyed everything it had to offer (even the CGI). Hopefully you can push through and overlook some of these weak points to really enjoy the world Overlord has to offer. This ones definitely going on my recommendations list for those of you who are interested in seinen/isekai/and top tier waifus (Albedo). In conclusion, this anime had a score of 8.6, which is nothing to snuff at by any means. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did, see y’all in the next one! ~~~~~Streaming Platform: Crunchyroll~~~~~

Overlord disappointed me. Slight spoilers and forgive my langauge I have to say, during my pre-Overlord life, while I wasn’t really aware of what this show was about, I had the impression that it was a good anime. It has a decent fandom following it, from the character designs I expected some comedy, and I thought I was gonna have a fun experience. That’s not what I got. Let's start at the beginning. We are in the year 2138 and the very popular DMMORPG, Yggdrasil, is shutting down. On the last day our main character Momonga does not log out, deciding to stay online till the server kicks him off. But instead of that, a number of things actually happened. One, Momonga “becomes'' his undead, skeleton avatar in the game. Two, the NPC’s residing in the guild hall become sentient and free moving. And three, their guild hall, Ains Owl Gown (I don’t even know if I spelled that right), and everyone in it are transported to a different world from Yggdrasil. This brings me to my first point, and bare in mind, this is me mostly nit-picking. But, we are never told or shown what exactly happened to Momonga for him to be sucked into this game, it just happens. This bothers me because, well, I do consume a lot of Isekai, and often the events that lead to the world switch are very clear; A god might bring them over, they die and are sort of reincarnated, a device traps them, a secret passageway, etc. And often, how they come to this world serves as a personal conflict the character must face. In Overlord it just happens, and since this is an unanswered question (an unanswered question that is never answered or even hinted at that will be answered), it bothers me and I’m left to speculate in order to have some sort of peace. I can only assume either one, Yggrasil isn’t a game you actually dive into and Momonga can leave his computer anytime he wants, or two, a freak accident happened with his headset or something, causing him to die, and therefore be transported into the game. For all I know, the world outside of Yggdrasil never existed. I’m also bothered by the changes that happen to Momonga. This man is transported into a different world, and he kinda just..... accepts it, like really quickly. He doesn’t panic, he doesn’t wonder if he can log out, he practically doesn’t care. And it just doesn’t make sense to me. Like sure I would love to live in a virtual world where I’m all powerful and all, but the sudden switch would definitely jar me. But Momonga hardly questions anything about his situation. In fact there even seems to be this weird mechanic that calms him when he gets too excited or feels too much. But that too is never explained and doesn’t really have a purpose? Why is he calmed when he gets excited? Why does he need to be calmed? Why doesn’t he feel anything when he kills people? There seems to be no reason for this but to help Momonga keep this “cool, collected, strong leader” image. But, honestly, it only serves to limit Momonga’s personality. We literally get nothing else from Momonga other than that he likes to be a sad boy™ about the good ol’ days and that he's kind of your average loser. Now before I go on, I want to say. The fact that Overlord has an op main character is not the problem _at all._ Op main characters can be done __right.__ Look at One Punch Man and Mob Psycho. Sword Art Online is still popular _to this day._ Reincarnated as a Slime is another good example. Overlord just doesn’t bring anything to the table but OP characters, which pretty much gives it no substance. How do I explain this? Not only does Ovelord not give us time to get to know these characters beyond their 2-word personality traits, but they neither give us a reason to give a shit about these characters and cheer them on. From the first episode we are barely introduced to the NPCs of Ains Owl Goal and from then on they don’t really do much but receive orders and be happy about doing said orders. The only character I genuinely liked was Pandora’s Actor and that's simply because he had a more interesting personality then literally anyone else in the show. Nothing else is done to expand on these NPC’s. Sure, you can like their connection/dedication to Momongo and the other supreme beings, but it can get boring when ½ of their personality is just “I like to do shit for my master” while also having little to no problem or difficulty doing these tasks. I also have a problem with their goal. Momonga’s goal is to spread the name of Ains Owl Goal around in hopes to find people who might have also come from Yggdrasil. But that’s pretty much it. He doesn’t explain why he wants to do this at all. I don’t assume he wants to figure out why he’s there and what happened because, like I said, he never questions it. You can say he might just want to connect with these people, but he literally states he doesn’t want to make close connections with people in episode 6. And he knows not everyone he’ll find will be friendly. It honestly just feels like they’re spreading the name simply because “we are powerful and deserve to have our name known” or something like that. And, like I said, I don’t feel the need to cheer them on because they’re op and I know they’re gonna succeed, so it’s boring. Let’s compare this to “Reincarnated as a Slime.” Rimura for the most part, knows he’s super strong. But it’s not something that's constantly shoved in our face, it becomes like background knowledge. Rimura neither wished for his name to be known, it was just a bi-product of him trying to live his life in this new world. He’s powerful but doesn’t consider himself greater than anyone else and still approaches every situation with caution, but, also in a way that everyone can contribute. He uses every opportunity to cultivate relationships and we see him grow as a leader and a person from start to finish. What makes an OP protag/isekai story succeed is simply the relationships they have and what they do for the world. Just because they are OP does not mean they don’t grow as characters. In Overlord, everyone’s the same literally from the beginning to the end. Nobody goes through any personal conflict or growth. The NPCs that hate humans at the start still hate them at the end. Momonga is still no more or less closer to the NPCs. Most conflicts are approached only by Momonga and one other NPC, but even then the NPC mostly stays on the back burner. While he does stuff for the world, it’s purely for selfish reasons, to spread his name, and he quite literally doesn’t give a shit about anyone outside of Ains Own Goul. Some spoilers but further highlight why it was hard to connect with this show. ~!Here’s one thing that kind of annoyed me. We spend a significant amount of time in episodes 5-8 getting to know these 5 dudes from this guild. So much so that I thought they were gonna be significant to the whole story. I was more interested in them than literally any other character I've seen so far because they’ve shown more character and motivation than anyone else (and this is the middle of the season!!). But then they’re literally killed off in the next episode and we're barely given like, a second to mourn them. Even Momonga is just like “Oh, they’re dead. Welp, time to move on,” like bitch??? I was even expecting him to revive them, something he says he can do in episode 3, but never does so :p. I just felt like I wasted time trying to actually get invested in the story.!~ The antagonists/villains themselves are also very lacking. The Slane theoarchy, which I assume is the overarching villain, is barely touched on at all. They’re goals, other than just being a hostile nation, are kept a mystery for now. The villains for the middle arc also show up with literally no purpose. Their goals and motivations are unknown and they simply do evil just to do evil. They were not intimidating or interesting in any way and solely exist because they needed an antagonist. I really struggled finding anything entertaining in this anime. Like I said, the characters and their relationships are untouched and unchanging. The action? Basic. Every fight scene except Momonga's last 2 fights and Nabe’s fight pretty much consists of “big magic kills everyone” or “bloody slaughter, no one stood a chance.” The last two fights with Momonga had some more choreography to it, but still pretty basic. The gore is bloody but nothing really gruesome? The most gory thing it's got going for it is beheading, but that's mid tier gore. As for the Fantasy elements, while we do spend a lot of time outside the tomb of Nazerick, the world building really sucks. They had one little talk about the surrounding nations in the second episode but that's pretty much all we get. I can mostly assume that all the events happen close to where Nazerick is. The only thing I can say I genuinely enjoyed was the music. The opening theme is now on my playlist and I found the ending theme to be really interesting. Also, so little seems to happen in one episode that I was surprised almost every time an episode ended. Which further highlights why I feel this anime lacks substance. In conclusion, Overlord has the minimum requirements to be an Isekai with an OP protagonist but none of the elements that make this an interesting show. However, I don’t want to completely dissuade everyone reading this from watching it though. Like I said, Overlord has a decent following/fandom behind it, so there's definitely something there that people love about it. I am just not one of them.

~~~__Bonjour à tous__~~~ On se retrouve aujourd'hui pour faire le point sur cette anime : __Overlord S1__. ~~~img(https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcQaTfp548fWFCekwDw6GlGfiPgb2nDL66xmgXB9Lm5-Q5QIUbaG&usqp=CAU)~~~ Pour commencer, __Overlord S1__ est un isekai où l'on commence avec un joueur d'un Virtual MMORPG, ce qui ressemble pas mal à SAO. Mais ce qui change dans l'anime, c'est que le joueur que nous suivons attends la fin du jeu, c'est à dire l'arrêt des serveurs du jeu, Yggdrasil. Cependant, l'heure passe, s'écoule et ne s'arrête pas alors que l'heure de l'arrêt du jeu est passé, et c'est comme ça que nous avançons avec Momonga qui changera de nom pour le nom de sa guilde, Ains Owl Gown. Ce que j'adore dans cette saison 1, c'est qu'il y a bien une fusion des 2 mondes, le monde du jeux et un isekai. C'est à dire que Ains, se retrouve dans un monde inconnu avec un corps qui n'est pas le sien mais, cependant, il y a des objets et compétences qui viennent du jeu donc nous suivons son aventure pour savoir dans quel monde il a atterrit. ~!De plus, on voit vraiment que les 2 mondes ont presque fusionné car juste avant de passé du jeu à l'isekai, il change la personnalité d'Albedo, et l'on voit son changement dès le premier épisode, donc les 2 mondes sont bien liés. !~ Ce que j'aime également, c'est que la toute puissance d'Ains au départ de la saison se retrouve assez nuancer à la fin de la saison ce qui remet un peu la balance à zéro. je trouve que un suspense s'ajoute car si des personnes plus forte que lui existe alors que vos sa force dans ce nouveau monde. Il y a aussi la personnalité des PNJ, que l'on découvre et qui ajoute un bon côté de comique à la série entière. ~~~img(https://wallpapercave.com/wp/wp1976010.jpg)~~~ ___Conclusion :___ __Overlord S1__ est un très bon isekai qui commence avec un joueur qui se retrouve dans un monde inconnu et qui OP au début mais plus l'on avance dans la saison et plus on se rends compte que sa puissance est à nuancer même s'il reste OP pour le monde dans lequel il c'est retrouvé. De plus, l'aspect comédie est pas mal et fais sourire pas mal de fois. Également, il y a des scènes de combats mais plus des scènes de combats magiques que de combats corps à corps. Bref, je vous conseil vivement cette série et de magie et de Moyen-Age où l'on voit une guilde de morts vivants qui découvre un monde et que sais-je vont peut être essayer de le conquérir. ~~~img(https://cutewallpaper.org/21/overlord-wallpaper-hd/Overlord-Wallpaper-Hd-Beautiful-Anime-Overlord-Wallpapers-.png)~~~ PS : Désolé pour les fautes de français. Ceci n'est que mon avis personnel. Je ne vous empêche pas d'avoir un point de vue différent du mien. Je pense que tous les points de vue sont à prendre en compte tant qu'ils sont argumentés.
Pela primeira vez assistindo anime pude notar que a opening fazia sentido com o anime. A abertura de Overlord com o nome de Clattanoia, casa muito bem com a trama do anime. "Onde está a resposta? Busque-a!" Nos remete ao problema inicial do protagonista que enquanto jogava um jogo chamado Yggdrasil quando ele estava bem próximo de fechar seus servidores e o protagonista fica ali preso, e não mais estando no jogo Yggdrasil mas em outra realidade, nosso protagonista tem de além de buscar a resposta do porquê aquilo aconteceu, procura também outros jogadores do Yggdrasil que como ele ficaram presos em outra realidade. " Onde está a minha alma?" e durante a opening nos mostra o rosto do personagem, que agora não é mais um humano, mas sim um mortovivo. "É como um sonho doce, mas quando acordo só vejo ossos" Fazendo uma referência ao que aconteceu com o protagonista, que agora vive em uma outra realidade que parece um jogo. "Estou em pânico? Saia rápido! Oh! a tantos mistérios e misérias..." Lembra que o protagonista quer sair daquela realidade, e que há muitas coisas que ele desconhece daquele mundo e que aquele mundo se encontra em guerras, e trágedias. "Morto ou vivo, balançando do na borda enquanto ando da direita para a esquerda do inferno Um convite solitário, o desaparecimento da emoção Dançando um, dois, trés passos neste palco escuro" Neste não consigo pensar muito além de fazer referência que o protagonista virou um mortovivo e agora se sente solitário por ter perdido seus antigos companheiros e agora também perdeu suas emoções. "Levante a sua bandeira, siga em frente, lute! Estendo a mão até a máscara, mas em tudo o que ele faz é tremer meus ossos Guerras e espadas, lágrimas e sangue Do poder crescendo dentro mim, começo a gargalhar!" A primeira parte remete que o protagonista pretende levar a bandeira de sua guilda por todo o mundo, afim de fazer ela ser conhecida por todos, na esperança do protagonista achar alguém do jogo Yggdrasil, e que mesmo dentro de guerras mortes e misérias, o Protagonista é o ser mais poderoso naquele mundo no momento. "Onde está a resposta? busque-a! Onde está minha alma? Onde está meu coração? Estou sendo sugado por essa realidade Não hesite, vá por este caminho Eu não entendo, mas eu não ligo Mesmo que tenha que fingir Eu vou continuar sobrevindo neste mundo miserável" Aqui termina a opening, e o protagonista é sugado por aquela realidade que agora vive, não tendo outra escolha a não ser confortar com ela, um mundo que ele não entende, mas finge entender para aprender mais sobre ele, e sem escolha alguma, a única coisa que resta a ele a fazer e sobreviver naquele mundo. A letra, e a opening como um todo se encaixa muito bem ao anime. O anime Overlord não tem nada de especial, tem a mesma trama básica, protagonista que vai para um isekai e é super poderoso, com companheiros também poderosos, enfim, tem praticamente o mundo todo em suas mãos. Animação mediana, o estúdio Madhouse deixa a camêra bem perto dos personagens para dar a sensação de boa animação, ponto para eles nisso, a animação pelo menos não chega a incomodar normalmente, mas as lutas doem de ver, usam um 3D que é grosseiro, horrível, mas assistivel até certo ponto, até no clímax que pelo menos deveria ter uma cena mais fluida e uma coreografia de luta melhor não tivemos, desperdiçaram a chance de terminar a temporada com chave de ouro. Trilha sonora é inexistente nesse anime pelo visto, poucas vezes ela é notada, acho que o estúdio usou 3D para repararmos e falarmos mal dele e não reparar na falta de trilha sonora, que só é mais presentes em momentos mais calmo do anime, em momentos de reflexão do protagonista, ou com os personagens secundários em momentos de companheirismo, nem nas lutas onde deveria se manter presente e ser forte para nos dar mais emoção, não se nota sua presença. As lutas apesar de lhes dizer até certo ponto é decepcionante por sua animação e falta de trilha sonora, nos entretem, mas somente quando o protagonista analisa seus oponentes, e faz estrátegias para o combate, isso sim é interessante de se ver, de resto são bem chatas e sem sal, bem, mas bem fracas mesmo. Os personagens secundários são bem rasos, mas mesmo assim tem personalidades e são facéis de se afeiçoar, uns mais, outros menos, pelo menos não chegam a ser genéricos, e ser desgastante de os assistir quando entram em cena. História não tem o que falar. É um isekai, o que se esperar de um isekai? Só que esse é um pouco mais dark, e tenho que dizer que os momentos de maior tensão e mais sombrios são bem feitos. Confesso que até me esforcei para taxar aquele gore de "edgy", mas me surpreendi, não passa essa sensação de exagero, que pode ser muito facilmente encontrada neste gênero. O destaque mesmo é o protagonista, ele é bem carismático,claro que não tenhamos uma excelente de protagonista, mas ainda sim, é um pouco explorado e mesmo que a príncipio ele já não esbanje mais nenhum tipo de humanidade, vermos que ele ainda tem muito apego aos amigos que ele fez no Yggdrasil, e pela guilda que junto dos seus amigos, construiram e fizeram ser grande investindo nela muito tempo e esforço, lhe faz se apegar mais ao protagonista, que no fundo só quer se encontrar com seus amigos e jogar com eles e que ele sente bastante falta deles e principalmente pode se gostar muito do protagonista pelo seu lado estrátegista, motando estrátegia, prever os passos do inimigos, fazendo análises minunciosas para se alcançar a vitoria, e planejando cada passo, cada ação para lhe ajudar a alcançar o seu objetivo. Digo que o protagonista carrega o anime nas costas, e junto dos personagens secundários, são os pontos mais forte desse anime. Momentos de companheirismo presente no anime, algo mais humano, é bastante agradavel de se ver também. E no anime fecha de forma satisfatória, e dá um belo gancho para a segunda temporada.
____There are some tiny spoilers ahead but I am open overall____* This anime was not suggested by anyone to me but rather I found it through the trailer by mistake. Ains looked interesting enough so I started the first ep and at first I didn't like it as much but after a certain time it grew upon the characters and the story. At the end of season 1 I was ready for more and completed season 2 in two days with speed. Season 3 was also good and I ended the show in like a week which can tell you that I liked this show and was a unique take rather than normal isekai but It was more like SAO but better for me because overlord didn't made it into a harem which SAO did. Animation: It was an op animation style which I liked it from the start and madhouse did a great job with this. I have watched Redline movie after the overlord and I didn't know that both these were created by madhouse studio. I found it just while writing this review and I am a bit shocked yet glad that I watched both of these. If you have watched any of the shows or movies from this studio you will know what quality animation they create.(8.5/10) Characters and Timeline: The characters above all had unique designs and the behaviours of them were fitting. I loved Sebas as a whole and grew up on me in the 2nd season which I liked. The story was super good and throughout the story ains was overpowered but I was more interested in other people's perspective about him. Furthermore, this made the world more believable and close to reality well not real real but good enough. And people with him some I liked some I hated. Demiurge, Sebas and the twins I liked and I didn't like albedo as much and the vampire girl was alright. (9/10) Openings and soundtracks: Ok so openings were super good and fitting for this show. Voracity (OP 3) was my favourite and then OP 1 and then OP 2 the endings were good ED 2 was my fav. The same things with the soundtracks and the background music were very cool. I could definitely listen to these songs when I am doing something.(8.3/10) Other things I liked: The creatures were interesting which kept my interest sometimes. Ains is more than a skeleton a was very menacing at the start and I loved it. Background were not bad but in my opinion the characters were more interesting. I talked about Sebas and how I liked him well it happened when he met Climb and Unglaus (can't remember his first name my memory is a bit rusted) and the girl he found so on and so forth. He is a gentleman with his unshakeable resolve and you can't change my opinion. This were my opinion and I am really glad that I watched this show. Can't wait for season 4 and the trailer looked promising hope it doesn't disappoint fingers crossed....
~~~__MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD__~~~ Generally, I'm content to briefly jot down my thoughts about anime I watch in a nice and tidy comment on my page, however, something about Overlord hit different. I have a LOT to say about Overlord, and it would not fit in a nice and tidy comment...So here I am! ~~~img300(https://i.postimg.cc/hGNhwkY2/chibi-overlord.png)~~~ __Premise__ The idea of an isekai protagonist actually getting stuck within his in game character and having a conflict of interest between the fantasy persona and the real world persona is SO COOL. Sadly, I feel like this anime doesn't take advantage of this nearly as much as it could. The most we get is a VA change between his internal and external dialogue, the realization that he can deal with violence better as an undead, and a "calming mechanic" that goes into effect when he becomes too emotional. On occasion, it also seems like he has to exert energy to continue role-playing as his character, putting on a show to fit the role of leader to the people around him. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's a very fun aspect of his character. I REALLY WISH THEY DID THIS MORE! Seeing him struggle with this would make him feel so much more relatable. More conflict between the two sides of him in general really would have made his character stronger. I also thought Ainz's drive to find real human connections again is a great one but doesn’t come up much apart from the times he is sentimental about the past, and the goal to make his name known, which honestly doesn’t seem to be attempted much since he takes on a second undercover persona pretty quickly. There was a reason for it- as he wanted to learn more about the world he is now stuck in without giving away his identity, but it just kept going on and ultimately felt like a bunch of side quests unrelated to his main goal. There’s so much potential for questioning the authenticity of his relationships with the NPC characters that were once pixels on a screen VS the urge to find real human connection that would’ve been really cool to explore. The points in these last two paragraphs honestly left me feeling like (apart from the semi-present desire to meet human friends) there was no real reason for this to even be an isekai. If the MC is not strongly motivated or affected by his human past, then why is he not just a sorcerer in a fantasy world full stop? I just really wish the premise was taken advantage of more. I will say I like the idea of the isekai protagonist already having a ton of experience in the world though. Getting stuck in a game you've maxxed out your level on is an interesting change of pace. There’s some comedic moments where characters are stunned some random guy has that much power (a la one punch man) which is very fun. Especially when it's a smug villain. ~~~img(https://i.postimg.cc/zXqk7GQD/ainz.webp)~~~ __Characters__ Unfortunatley, most of the characters in Overlord fall into the classic anime pit of being rather one note. There is a lack of strong motivation or goals from all the side characters, at least not any that go further than "I want to kill" or "I want to win a woman's heart" or "I want to serve Ainz." That being said, I wouldn't call the characters totally uninteresting. The floor guardians especially have fun designs and personalities and the fact that they were created by Ainz's friends back in the day adds an interesting layer to them. They're afterimages of his past friendships. I didn't feel any connection to the NPCs outside of Ainz's subordinates, with the exception of Clementine (who I despised) and Ninya (who I sympathized with). Big spoiler content for both of them here briefly: ~!Regarding Ninya, I thought the death/gender reveal, was incredibly moving. I didn't feel connected to her or her cohorts at all through their adventuring, but something about that sudden brutal loss of life coinciding with Ainz realizing she hid her gender to not make trouble for her group, it made me feel something. Which wasn't the case for the majority of these side characters. Clementine on the other hand, the show does a GREAT job making you hate her. It might just be me, but her manner of speaking was so incredibly annoying that it exacerbated her arrogant "I just want to kill because its fun teehee" energy. When Ainz kills her, I also thought it was one of the best examples of the human and undead sides of him conflicting. Because he explicitly goes out of his way to kill her and make it last. He could have foregone that entirely, or ended her life quickly, but his human sympathy breaks through and he acts based on emotion. The same thing can be said when he makes excuses to go straight towards saving Nfirea to his subordinate Narberal, even though it is not the logical decision.!~ On another positive note, a big draw for me was seeing Albedo and Ainz interact. I'm a sucker for obsessive one sided romances and Albedo certainly fills the role of obsessive! They have a really funny dynamic and origin behind said dynamic. Very cute and silly. ~!Also, Albedo making her own body pillow of Ainz had me losing it. She's a gem.!~ ~~~img(https://i.postimg.cc/WzCgT5Xn/too-close.gif)~~~ __Final Thoughts__ When everything is said and done, I did enjoy this anime (especially when I think of the potential it has) but I feel like that potential was the main thing that kept me watching and not necessarily what happened in the show. Here's hoping future seasons take advantage of it more!

Let's get this out of the way: Overlord was probably never meant for me. I generally don’t enjoy shows where the main character is a villain, and Ainz, the protagonist of this anime, certainly fits that mold. However, I have found enjoyment in other villain-centric works like Death Note, Code Geass, or most recently, Go Go Loser Ranger, although at least the first two would probably rather describe themselves as antihero. To properly discuss Overlord, I will touch on some minor plot points, so consider this your spoiler warning. # __Ainz Ooal Gown__ To understand Overlord, we need to talk about Ainz Ooal Gown—the man, the myth, the supreme ruler of Nazarick—and why, in my opinion, he fails as a compelling main character. Ainz, or Momonga, as he was previously called, is the last remaining player in an MMORPG, and the leader of one of the most powerful guilds in the game. When the game’s servers shut down, he finds himself not only trapped in his character’s body but also transported to another world. Fortunately, he’s not alone—his entire guild hall, Nazarick, and its NPC guardians, who have now come to life, are at his disposal. I don't remember if whether due to his role-playing or simply due to the fact that his character is a Lich, but Ainz’s subordinates believe he is a mastermind of evil. With no other players around to correct them, Ainz feels compelled to play along. Driven by an unexplained magic that manipulates his emotions—a rather weak plot device, in my opinion—Ainz develops severe impostor syndrome, leading him to commit countless atrocities. What makes Ainz unappealing to me is his lack of agency. He doesn’t have any personal ambition or clear motivation; instead, he simply goes along with the cruel and evil plans of his subordinates, fearing they might turn on him if they discover he’s just an ordinary guy who created them as a way to pass time in a game. This idea could have been interesting if there were any power struggles or internal conflicts, but Ainz mostly just plays his role, even embracing it at times, making him feel like a typical shallow villain—only with even less agency. # __The Power Dynamic__ Another major issue is the overwhelming power imbalance. Every character in Nazarick is absurdly overpowered. The only way the anime can create tension is by withholding information from either the viewer or Ainz. There might be a powerful foe or a dangerous artifact that could threaten even the greatest Lich, but these threats are few and far between. Most of the enemies Nazarick faces are just regular fantasy kingdoms, completely outmatched by this dungeon filled with power-grinded items from a guild that played until the servers shut down. There’s no real satisfaction in watching humans being slaughtered like pigs, especially when they neither deserve it (for the most part) nor have any chance to fight back. # __Side Characters__ Surprisingly, one of the better aspects of Overlord is its side characters. While most of the cast in Nazarick are either completely in awe of Ainz or outright infatuated with him, some characters have more interesting development. Demiurge, for instance, always seems to be scheming. Does he actually understand Ainz’s situation, or is this frighteningly intelligent devil as loyal as he appears? Then there’s Sebas, the butler, who has his own side story that adds depth to the narrative. The show also dedicates time to characters from the new fantasy world, showcasing their struggles against the overwhelming forces of Nazarick, as well as their own politics and agendas. I might have enjoyed Overlord more if the story were told entirely from their perspective. Many of these minor characters are depicted as good people, struggling to support their families or protect their loved ones from the horrors of Nazarick. They have compelling backstories, desires, and motivations, yet many are ruthlessly slaughtered by Ainz and his companions in their quest for world domination—because that’s what an evil Lich would do, right? …right? # __CGI__ I typically don’t mind the visual style of an anime, but Overlord is critically underfunded. The CGI is so poor that it looks like it was rendered on computers from the Toy Story era in 1995. Every crowd, large monster, and magical effect relies on CGI, which, rather than improving, seems to get worse over the course of the three seasons I have watched.
